We Can Structure Kwahu Easter Well And Get A Yearly Theme For It — Kobby Kyei [Watch]
Ghanaian Blogger, Augustus Koranteng Kyei, professionally known as Kobby Kyei has expressed concerns about the organisation of the annual Easter festivity celebrated at Kwahu in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
The social media personality who has been using his platform to impact lives believes an occasion like this which draws a lot of people from all walks of life to converge at a place to make merry could be themed yearly in order to give it a positive structure that will go a long way to benefit people as well as the entire country as a whole.
Expressing his thoughts during his first ever visit to Kwahu Easter in 2022, Kobby Kyei said this in a street interview with Kwame Obsoul of sixscribes.com.
“I love the fact that we are selling the culture. I believe that… we have to structure the whole thing well so that we will always have a theme for it. This year [2022] I don’t know the theme, so let’s try and have a them for it.” He said.
Kobby later comment on the energy of the people and hoped to socialise with new friends even as the celebrations went on.
“So far so good I’m loving the energy, I’m loving the vibe around…. I’m hoping that I meet a lot of people because I’m also here to network”, he added.
Kwahu Easter has been an annual event without a theme. Promoters and varied organisers mount stages to entertain people with the goal of enticing them to patronize their services.
Over the years, the celebration of Kwahu Easter has been more fun with the introduction of activities such as carnival, hiking, paragliding (introduced in 2005 by the ministry of tourism), visit to some interesting places like the Stone Age Park, Nkofieho Caves and other interesting places. Local foods and other continental foods are sold at every joint during the celebration.
