ABOUT THE SCHOOL
Abesewa D/A Basic School specializes in providing an inclusive free Basic education to over 400 learners within the Abesewa Community and the Ahafo Ano South East District. The Primary and JHS had separate head teachers until they were put under one administration in October 2019. The school aspires to be one of the leading providers of quality basic education in the country. For years, it has consistently nurtured its students’ skills, talents, and interests in both curricular and co-curricular fields to prepare these individuals as they enter the real world through senior high and tertiary schools.
Other Issues To Be Addressed At The Ceremony
1. Open defecation within the classrooms of the school with faecal matter being smeared on chalkboards
2. Weed smoking in pavilion classrooms
3. Distractions during contact hours by people who use the school’s premises as access routes to their homes and work places.
4. Limited Sports resources making it a challenge in training our talented learners during physical education and co-curricular activities.
5. Learners using manual power (cutlasses) in clearing weedy areas of the school compound as well as the field.
6. Large enrolment in classrooms causing discomfort for learners.
