This Is Why Mr. Alan Kyerematen Has Resigned As Trade Minister.
Minister for Trade and Minister, Mr Alan John Kwadwo Kyerematen, has officially resigned from all duties as a minister in government.
Sources said the former Ghana’s Ambassador to the United States (Mr. Kyerematen), sent his resignation letter to President Nana Akufo-Addo on Thursday, Jan 5, 2023.
His decision to resign was motivated by pressure from the party’s grassroots, to free himself from duty to be able to prepare for the New Patriotic Party’s presidential primaries later in the year.
According to the grassroots, he (Mr. Kyerematen) faces tough battle; against Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia, Assin Central Member of Parliament (MP) Kennedy Agyapong and former NPP General Secretary, Kwabena Agyepong so the need to resign and focus.
