Last week, Memunatu Sulemana made headlines when she revealed in an interview that she was residing in a kiosk and facing financial hardships. Responding to the situation, former President Mahama stepped forward with a generous offer. The act of kindness from the former President has drawn widespread appreciation and commendation from various quarters. Sports enthusiasts, social activists, and political figures have all lauded Mahama’s gesture, highlighting the importance of supporting athletes who have contributed to the nation’s sporting success.

Memunatu Sulemana expressed her gratitude and disbelief at the unexpected turn of events. “I am overwhelmed by the generosity of former President Mahama,” a representative said.

The incident has also sparked discussions about the need for better support systems for former athletes who face challenges after retiring from their sports careers. The spotlight on Memunatu Sulemana’s story has shed light on the struggles that many athletes experience once they are no longer in the limelight.

Former President John Dramani Mahama’s gesture serves as a reminder of the positive impact that influential individuals can have on the lives of those facing adversity. The donation of the apartment and cash is not only a symbolic act of compassion but also a practical solution to help Memunatu Sulemana regain her footing and pursue a better future.
