The former president of the Republic of Ghana, John Dramani Mahama has shared the pains, by empathizing with the 2021/2022 National Service Personnel for the inconsistency and delay in payment of the 559.00 cedis monthly allowance.
Mr. Mahama, in a Facebook post sighted by sixscribes.com stated a lot of people including himself have “passed through the scheme” successfully but it seems things are becoming tightly difficult during the recent management of the system. He therefore called for the payment of all arrears due the service personnel.
“I empathize with National Service personnel today. We have all passed through the scheme before. Please pay them the arrears of their allowances” – he said.
He shared of photo of himself and three other friends during his “National Service Years” which he captioned “Boys to Men”.
“From right to left: JM, Adam Mahama (deceased), Joe Mara, Issah Turn-up (deceased).”, the former president clearly helped to identifying the people in the photo.
He ended his statement with the hashtag “#enoughisenough” to express the extent to which the personnel have been enduring throughout the months without allowance.
