An Accra court has remanded Ghanaian self-proclaimed prophet and social media personality, Ebo Noah, into police custody for two weeks and ordered that he undergo a psychological assessment.
Ebo Noah rose to global attention in 2025 after claiming that God had instructed him to build modern-day arks to save humanity from a catastrophic three-year worldwide flood. He predicted that the flood would begin on December 25, 2025, a claim that attracted widespread public attention and concern.
On New Year’s Eve, police arrested Ebo Noah for allegedly breaching the Public Order Act following his public pronouncements and activities linked to the prophecy.
He was arraigned before the court on Friday, January 2, 2026, where the presiding judge ordered that he be kept in police custody for two weeks to allow for further investigations.
The court further directed that Ebo Noah should undergo a psychological assessment before his next court appearance, which has been scheduled for January 16, 2026.
Investigations into the matter are ongoing.
